I like some of those. Some seem a bit controversial to the medium.
I am about halfway through the book. Some very interesting angles people have used in history. Lots of lessons to be learned about yourself. If you are in a political work situation I think it is a must read.
great book- i try to read thru it once a year- great historical analogies.
This is some rough shit.
Law 3
Conceal your Intentions
Keep people off-balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind your actions. If they have no clue what you are up to, they cannot prepare a defense. Guide them far enough down the wrong path, envelope them in enough smoke, and by the time they realize your intentions, it will be too late.
Are we trying to kill somebody here? lol

Why read the whole book when you have the laws on this in such a quick format?
Dont get me wrong, I love reading but if this book can be broken down so simply why create a big book on it.
Some feedback on the book would be great, if I get some positive reviews I might have to go out and get it.
Blessings
I love this book. I refer to it sometimes when making both business and personal decisions. I have found it helpful for myself- but maybe even more so in being able to understand what others may be trying to do.
The author also has a few others including one on Seduction, War and the 50th Law co-written by 50 cent, which addresses fear - and they are all very interesting.

Law 7Use the wisdom, knowledge, and legwork of other people to further your own cause. Not only will such assistance save you valuable time and energy, it will give you a godlike aura of efficiency and speed. In the end your helpers will be forgotten and you will be remembered. Never do yourself what others can do for you.Get others to do the Work for you, but Always Take the Credit
-----------
This can backfire on you. I have seen this first hand. Want to gain some real respect? Do the work FOR others and then give them credit for it. I have done this in the past by helping someone work and reach their goal. When asked who did it, I immediately gave the other one the credit. I gained a lot of respect and felt elevated because of it.
I think it depends on who you want to gain power over. I find being meek elevates. Acting like a KING (Law 34) becomes a losing proposition.
But what do I know... LOL

The king law is one of the ones I really liked though. What people think of you is what they see of you, and quite frankly acting a certain way will reinforce your own tendency to -be- that way.
Be who you want to become.

1 More thing, look at the date of this post.
Imagine what you say today, might resurface 10 years from now O.o

That would be law 5, reputation.
I'll be happy if that above post is pointed out ten years from now, I think it's every bit as valuable as all the other motivational things that get posted around here.
... But in general I'm not going to try hard to protect my reputation. At least not every aspect of it. There are things I'd defend, but being a paragon is far, far from what I want to be perceived as.

This list is disgusting. I can think of so many different titles for this list.
48 ways to decieve people
48 ways to feel powerful when your really not
how to have others respect you, while still being a bitch
The Art of manipulation
How the demon became the angel king
How to be a piece of shit
I'm only reading it to understand how somebody could be so ugly and still think highly of themselves.
My goal in life is to crush people like this. False prophets I'll call them. So caught up in this costume they put on to keep control and please others.
Bring them out in the open to where they are vulnerable and show who they really are.
With no one following these rules brain wash would be unheard of.

Even so, I agree with some of them. Law 5 (even if I don't care to follow it), 9, 10, 11 (from a business sense that's how you get reoccurring income), 13, 15, 25, 28, 29, 34, 41.
These are all stategies that can be adapted to life without being so.. Evil with them![]()

Your right FDjustin, the entire list isn't bs.
But as I read it my brain just flashes 1000 examples of people doing these things to achieve their deceitful little plans because they need to feel more powerful then they really are. Because they don't care for what happens to other people and Willing to do whatever it takes at anyone's expense.
I'm someone who can sympathize if the situation calls for it, then at any given notice switch to a hell hound and get 20x crazier then you were.
I'll fight fire with atomic energy.
I only act this way when faced with evil. This sort of shit just is not acceptable in my state of mind.

I have been a naive trusting person in my life. For me, this book opened my eyes to the things that other people will do- that would never cross my mind most of them.
Being successful requires a great defense as well as an offense.
If you aren't educated about people who can harm you, your family, your business, etc how can you protect them?
For me, that's how this book has helped me.
FYI, when I was working at Rich Dad and the whole law suits were beginning with the Lechters, someone posted several of these laws of power in context of how they related to what they felt the Lechters had done- was sort of funny- except that they should maybe have seen it coming earlier.
That's why I find them valuable. Take them for what they are-

I'm trying to find a trend, or what sort of childhood would lead to someone growing up to become such a power Hungary wanna be king like that.

Very true lol.
I wonder if the majority of these deceitful people grew up really rich as children. Giving them the notion they are better then everyone else so they are able to treat people this way.
But then I started thinking some people who grew up poor were willing to do anything to get to the top. But I don't know how closely they would follow these rules.
