    Default Cheap Education!!

I was at Costco tonight buying some groceries and was milling over some of their audio books.

I came across some audio book courses for a whopping $19.99. Yes, $19.99!!

The Real Estate Investor's College, by Dolf De Roos, 13 CD's (Copyright 2005, probably does not address the housing bust)
Verbal Command, 15 CD's (Brian Tracy, Nido Quebin)
Small Business Success (not sure how many audio CD's)

$19.99 for hours of audio CD's sounds like a steal. I know Brian Tracy and Nido are pretty well respected. You could listen to this in traffic and get educated for pennies. Usually you find this stuff being sold late at night for "4 easy payments of $39.95".

Unfortunately, their online division (Costco.com) is only selling 2 of them and at higher prices.

    Further proof that Costco=greatness.

What do people think about De Roos? I know I've heard his name before, but I can't remember what the general concensus on him was.

The audio series are on Amazon too ... for about $36. Obviously, not having listened to them, I can't vouch for their value. But for $19.99 (if you find them at the store) you can't lose.

    I can see it now...

The lambo pulls up to the light. The pretty blonde looks over at the driver. What is playing on the super-sonic stereo system?

Why, none other than The Real Estate Investor's College, by Dolf De Roos, of course!!!

I read it all! lol Sounds very familiar. It really pisses them off if you're walking toward the receipt lady and see something on the entrance side you have to go check out (usually entrance and exit are separated by a barricade of product).

There's always a place to sneak through, as I do this frequently. lol

While I was in Arizona and the market was doing well I heard about DeRoos. Dolf DeRoos is a well known real estate investor. He previously worked with Robert Kiyosaki but I think Dolf ventured off to do his own thing. Dolf also worked with Dianne Kennedy and they coauthored at least two books I am aware of called Real Esate Investing Loopholes and the Insider s Guide to Making Money in Real Estate. Both are good books if you are looking to find the best ways to make your money work for you in relation to taxes. A little lengthy and I think it would be best to work with an accountant following some of the advice in these books. Some of the information is a little too complicated for me. Dolf DeRoos also has a magazine called Personal Real Estate Investor that is catered to the Arzona real estate market but has other good information such as home repairs, dealing with tenants, and setting up a LLC. Very good information in the magazine. I used to read the issues when I was living in Arizona.
