I can't post a new thread in the Introductions & Networking forum. Am I not able to post new threads in that forum after a certain number of posts? It's been a few months since I've been on here, so I was trying to reintroduce myself before posting in other forums

Why not add to your first intro?

I am using google chrome and whenever I click submit thread or preview post it says this:

Access to the webpage was denied
You are not authorized to access the webpage at http://www.thefastlaneforum.com/newt...ostthread&f=16. You may need to sign in.
HTTP Error 403 (Forbidden): The server refused to fulfill the request.

I should report exactly the same problem and error message when trying to post in the SEOslimeball thread last night

My browser of choice is also Google Chrome

No problems apart from that one particular thread

I didn't really think about that option. I just thought I'd be polite and post another quick intro. Also, I'm not too sure if anyone would read past my first intro, but I'll go ahead and post it there anyways...thanks

hmm...I just tried to add to my first intro, but I get the same error. I can post quick replies in other threads, but not my own. I also get the same error if I "Go Advanced"

P0ker is definitely in there...had no idea that word might be censored, but still got the same error trying to post in a different thread without p0ker in there

looks like it was the word "p0ker" preventing me from posting. I changed the o's to 0's and it let me submit the thread this time...I hope there's not a problem with me using that word for some reason.

Yep, I've had the same problem many times since the forum upgrade. It's always one of a number of keywords that triggers the forum filter; sometimes it's a keyword that you wouldn't even think is spammy but it still triggers it for some reason.

How come there are censored words?

I have no idea -- haven't found out what is triggering it. There's a "Censored Words" list in the control panel, but these words are not in there. In fact, I have the entire field empty and yet, p0ker is still triggering it, among other unknown spammy words.

maybe the empty field is triggering this by using default words in case the field is empty. try to add a few nonsense words maybe?

I am getting this now quite often and it's getting pretty annoying.

Does anyone know a way to get around this from happening?
I'm using Chrome, but I doubt this has to do with it. I was trying to post a reply with the three letter word that starts with se and ends with x, but reading about how the forum possible censors such words, I cleaned the word out of my post.
But...that didn't help either.

If I just try to Go Advanced on a blank new reply, I still get that error message.
Mods - any ideas?

A spam keyword is probably contained in the post. We've isolated p0ker as one of them.

BTW, I've ripped apart the vBulletin software and nothing therein should be causing this to occur; I've also looked at the server configs as well.

I have been getting this a lot, trying to reply to threads. I don't think any of them had censor-able words though, some were just simple answers. could be hindering a lot of posting!
