This will cost you nothing to do, but could be worth its weight in gold. Try it.

Find someone who isn't a direct competitor, who already sells to the same customers you want to sell to. Contact them and offer to joint venture with them. They provide their list, or agree to send a mailing promoting your product, or agree to otherwise cross-promote your product or service to their current customer base in exchange for a piece of the action. Maybe 15, maybe 30, maybe 50 percent of the total profit their list generates.

POWER UP...figure out the marginal net worth or lifetime value of a customer. If each customer represents a certain dollar amount of repeat business to you, then figure out if you can possibly afford to offer the above JV partner(s) a 100% commission on the first sale. If so, do it...you'll make your offer that much more irresistible to them

It's free, and you only pay for results.

Expert Mode:
Go to your competitor and ask them what do with their unconverted leads. If they say "we throw them away", offer to buy them off of them on a contingency basis. Those people obviously needed a product or service in your space if they reached out to your competitor. It could be that their offer did not meet their needs, but yours will! Offer to pay your competitor a commission for each (previously discarded, worthless) lead you convert. It's win-win!

Now that you've demonstrated to them what is possible, what are you doing with your unconverted leads? Throwing them away?

Either of these can be reversed once you've demonstrated the effectiveness to your new JV partners, and you can begin providing their products and services to your already loyal customers, creating additional back-end revenue streams.

Now get out there and do it!
