Default A bit of inspiration I guess?

NOT REALLY A MULTIMILLIONAIRE STORY, MORE LIKE A THOUSAND-AIRE STORY HA!

When I was 15, I had the worst day of my life... I had a resit exam and also, my uncle died. Just think about that day in your head if it was you. My uncle and I were very close in fact he wasn't my uncle he was my great uncle, the term suited him greatly.

That day I went into school for my resit, no doubt about it I knew I'd fail and I did in the end lol. But I went home with £200 and as the school term was over (2 weeks off) I thought I'd try making my online business work. I can't tell you what it consists of as I still run it But anyway I invested my £200 and a good friend of mine who I've known since I was around 11? scammed me all of the money. I was very upset as you would be on a day like this, but this itself put me in a mood for around a week... I finally thought to myself "I'm getting upset over this, why not just get back up?". I went out and did my research and asked people already in the business if I should carry on, they all told me the same - "Its a hard business you might as well not get involved, its too competitive" (Hah, wonder why they said that?) Funnily enough, regardless of what everyone said I took a risk... I invested £10 (not a lot) and by the end of the week (still going out with friends, working about an hour a day MAX) I managed to make just under £1,000.

I left the business and shut it down after this (quitting whilst ahead/ giving up). A month later everyone said the "game" was dead... I thought I'd take another crack at it with £10 again as I needed money, within a day I had £400 in my bank account, by the end of the month I had £6,000. I dominated this sort of market for atleast 3 weeks before everyone else found out how I was doing it then jumped on the bandwagon, people copying my strategies etc. Regardless to say I went out and bought myself an iPad 2 an iPhone 4 and a MacBook haha.

But what I'm trying to say is, that little bit of sadness in my life did not knock me down, I gave up because I was 15 and wanted more time outside than inside. Once your down, you've gotta get back up. Don't listen to what anyone says, its your future - build it how YOU want. I made over £7,000 in 5 weeks from doing an hour-2 hours a day in the end. I could of made it go a lot bigger but I didn't. All from someone ruining my week. I hope this is sort of inspiring that if you want it, you can do it.

Sorry but I don't get it, well first sorry to hear about your loss but a few things don't add up. You say when you were 15 you had the worst day of your life, got scammed, etc. Then you continue to say that you invested just around 10 euros into this company and generated 1,000 euros and then suddenly stopped? Keep in mind that you implied that this happened right AFTER you had this bad day. So one month later (you're still 15 years old) you do it again, with the same amount of money and generated 6x the amount you initially did.

Then you say you dominated this "sort" of market and that everyone else found out what you were doing as if you were the originator and copied your strategy (implying that you were the creator of this strategy and possibly a founder of the niche itself, that helped you generate over 6,000 euros in one week). Yet you .....blew it all on useless electronics? You also say that you wanted to spend more time outside than in, but implied in your statement that spending 1-2 hours inside each day wasn't worth making 7,000+ euros a week.

You say you still run the business, mind elaborating on how much your net profit has increased and how the competition has stiffened since starting the company? You pretty much said that you were generating almost $40,000 a MONTH from an online business that you started and operated when you were 15 years old, that's big money and that's around $480,000 a year. A company generating that type of money could easily sell for millions. So what do you plan on doing with it and how long have you been running the business since you started at 15? Interested in hearing more about this...

Sounds a lot like a combination between determination, moving fast and opportunistic luck.

Which is totally fine. Good luck to you.

@ Gold - $40.000/month is not the same as $480.000 year. It's not a job, it's a business. There are months that are generating 25% of the usual sales and months where the sales are 250%. $40.000 I guess was the best month.

This reminds me of CB. You can launch a product and make $50.000 in one evening. And then make 1 or 2 sales each day for $47.
