I found this while i was looking for inspiration. 24 articles about companies that have over one million dollars in revenue, didn't take Venture Capital and are profitable. Pretty interesting!

My favorite from the interview with Kentico Software:
"What advice do you have for someone considering starting a business?"
"You will find many opportunities on the existing markets where customers do not get what they need or get a poor service. Figure out if you can do it better and if you is can build a profitable business model around it. Once you’re fully convinced this the thing you want to do, go and do. Don’t waste your time with hundred-page business plans and presentations for VCs. Just do it."
Pretty much sums it up!
Love this one as well. Turning down $38.25M in VC
Terry Jackson, CEO and founder of Admoda, had this to say, “Well, we did consider the traditional N step business plan of startups in the tech sector. But, in the end, we opted for a less-conventional, two-step plan; First, build a profitable business and grow it by re-investing the profits. Second … Sorry, did I say ‘two steps’? There’s just the one, actually.”
