    A nondisclosure is very useful for working with honest people who weren't going to steal from you in the first place.

    Find a programmer that has done a few dozen jobs with good references. That will tell you, they like to program and do good work.

    You can have them sign an NDA, but it's likely only enforceable if they're in the same country as you.

    I wouldn't worry too much though, they're coders by trade not entrepreneurs so it's not typical that they're out to steal your ideas.
