Thread: Fastlaners on Pinterest?

I just requested to join today, but my wife uses it already. Personally, I think it's an awesome site with TONS of revenue potential - vs Twitter which has a much tougher time monetizing.

I'm really looking forward to getting my business active on there as well, as I keep reading that Pinterest is driving TONS of targeted traffic to retailer's websites.

Wow. I can't believe that I didn't even think about that until you said that. My best friend uses it and invited me a few weeks ago. It's nice to see what people think about themselves through photos, but I never thought about it as a traffic-driving site. That makes total sense though since the photos link straight to the sites they're pinned from. I need to get on this. Haha.

I was just talking with my wife about Pinterest last night. I thought it was only for girly foo foo fashion pics and that type of stuff until she showed me that you can click on one of the pictures and it takes you to a website. I was like, HOLY SHIT, this is going to be HUGE!!! I see why MJ is on it now! =)

I'm pinning my entire store to the site right now.

My wife is nutz about pinterest too ... i should have paid closer attention. Now all I need is a product and a store and ...

A little update on how Pinterest in working for my site. Apparently Pinterest users have mixed feelings on rave clothing. About 60% of users repinned my products to boards such as "I want!", "My Style", and "LOVE <3" while the other 40% repinned them to "WTF?!", "Fugly Footwear" and "I don't understand..." Haha. BUT, the traffic on my store did increase.

My site is relatively new and I have only been SEOing for the past 3 weeks or so. Needless to say, it has little traffic. Links from Pinterest increased traffic today by about 400% to 20 views (nothing to brag about, I know). It's a start though and if it brings in ten customers over the next year, it will have been worth it.
