That'd be crazy if you drove and this is coming from someone who spent 2 weeks straight driving from Chicago to the West Coast(with the first two stops being Dallas and Phoenix)

Then again, I'd drive if it wasn't for the work schedule b/c I not only love the experience, but hate all the b.s. w/ the airline industry(i.e. restrictions to what you can carry on and now charging to check the bags that didn't have to be carried on b4 the b.s. that happened in London ) and it's nice to split the costs w/ my fiance versus double 'em(i.e. gas is split in half instead of paying for TWO airfares which makes more sense if you're doing a group of 3 or 4 then it's not only more fun, but cheaper to drive than fly).

With that in mind, it'll be an interesting story to hear if anyone makes a road-trip out of it!

Folks, just a heads up: Superbowl is that weekend.
Couldn't tell if anyone called this out yet.

Nope...the Superbowl is a month earlier.

    2/1/09, not 3/1/09.

    Good thinking though!

We won't be attending this year but we went last year and we drove. Granted it was only 8 hours but I got to see areas I had never seen it was a fun time for us. We were childless for the weekend which is a supreme rarity so we had a good time minus Robert getting sick.

I'm seriously thinking about driving out. I haven't done the trip since May and I'm itching for another road trip. I have a pickup truck and a lot of stuff in storage down in Tucson. So I could pick up a few things while I was there. Also, there is a website called Uship, it is a lot like ebay only you bid on shipments. I have done this before and it has paid for my gas costs to/from Pittsburgh and Tucson.

The only thing that would be difficult with this would be to not schedule any meetings for 2 whole weeks.

that sounds like what my buddy who lives in PA himself used to do- he'd drive cross-country and find someone who needed something towed/shipped to help pay for his roadtrip

too bad I can't haul anything in the Monte Carlo, VR4 or my fiance's IS300

    Clint

PS on an unrelated note tomorrow is my birthday, are any of the attendees having a bday during B&P?

My buddy's father does this. He doesn't really need the money and often time will deliver things like pets free of charge. He just enjoys the stories and meeting new folks.

    SEVEN WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!

That's less than 50 days before your departure date, if you're flying.

Our break-even this year is 20-- and we're only at HALF of that number!

If you plan to come and have not yet registered, PLEASE do so-- we are very limited to getting a better conference room (or other options) if we have low registrations.

    thanks,
