It goes a little further than that. Some of the methods on that list are applicable, to a point, and may be viable means in diversifying one's approach to wealth. Above all it seemed to boil down to 2 key components: invention and execution.

Everyone in that article was able to create a solution to fill a niche or a need they had seen which was unfulfilled. This is an admirable accomplishment, but it is only 10% of the battle. Lots of people have lots of ideas. If ideas were th key to wealth, we'd all be wealthy. The mind is a powerful tool, but it can only be used to lay a foundation for wealth, it is how that foundation is built upon that will result in success.

This lead to execution, which is the meat of the issue, and makes the young people discussed even more impressive. They figured out how to execute on an idea before most people even know what they want to do for their career. Execution is the key; with no execution, that idea just evaporates back into the ethereal mist from whence it came. These guys invented, executed, and have reaped the rewards!
