Default ended 2011 on a seriously rough note, but taught me a few things

What's up Fellow Fastlaners! I hope everyone's new years was awesome. A bit late I know lol, but
better late than lever right? Anyway, I ended the year on a rough note, won't say bad, because

ironically I had made peace with a lot of things at the end of the year and I was actually my

happiest I've ever been in a long time, despite many of the bad things happening. Despite the end of
'11 being rough for me, it taught me a few things, lessons if you will, that I certainly have
cherished and am starting to apply to my personal and business life Already.

    1) Money is like that hot chick that likes you, and you know it, but you're too scared to go after
    her...
I spent most of the year assuming, because I was good at what I do, clients would just flock to me
like flies to feces. I was wrong, very wrong. Granted, the owner of a pretty exclusive boutique had
reached out to me, and I did do some design work for him, which makes the resume look good , but I
was lucky, that stuff doesn't happen often. I should have been pushing my brand and company
aggressively during that time period, I'm quite sure I would have been rolling in the dough if I had
just 'hustled' hard. I was so stupid and arrogant.

    2) Charisma goes a long ass way. Seriously, when the owner that I mentioned earlier, contacted me to
do design work on his clothing line, I believe he liked to work with me, because everytime we met, I
would literally take the floor in his store, charismatically explaining exactly how I'm going to
design his line, making jokes, smiling, pretty much just being comfortable in my own skin. That's how
I am, I love what I do and I kinda just do, what I call, my best Steve Jobs impersonation, but in my
own style and swag. Also a smile is infectious. One of my clients, who is a rapper/songwriter in
Atlanta Georgia, told me "I like your drive man". Around fall though, I had gained a lot of weight, I
became grumpy and not as charismatic and I couldn't see it. I was an angry individual for the most
part, nobody wanted to be around me. I hopped on a super clean diet in October, did some spiritual
reading and soul searching, as of now, I've lost 35 pounds of straight visceral and subcontaneous fat
and gained about 12 pounds of muscle and I'm happy again I'm BACK IN THE GAME BAY-BAY!!!

    3) NEVER try to buy what you don't really need. Yeah, I should have tattooed th
is on my damn palm. I still wanna just smack myself in the head for this. Because I am in the
clothing business, mainly t-shirts, I was trying to do what bigger brands and companies were doing.
I'm talking about, getting wholesale accounts with sweater manufacturers, buying expensive jackets,
the whole nine. I am an idiot. One, I live in Florida, most of my customers live in Florida too. WTF do
I need to buy jackets and hoodies for? Especially early on in this game, jackets and hoodies cost
ALOT to buy wholesale. I learned my lesson in a very painful way. Painful as in charged the shit out
of my credit cards. I am an idiot. LOL.

It's probably a lot to read, but just wanted to, I guess "re-introduce" myself like Jay-Z. I want to
be active again on his forum, after all, the info and knowledge on this forum really is worth a
million bucks. Because of this forum, I really have done and experienced things I never would have
thought I would and I really mean that. So thank you for your time folks and hope these things can help
some of you fellow fastlaners as well.
For anybody wondering, I am starting over with my company...sort of. I just changed the style of the
clothing and the direction I am headed. I already am building a new fan and customer base, and even
have the honor of being connected to my favorite streetwear brand EVER! it's hard not to jump for joy
over that, stupid I know lol but it means a lot to me . Feedback and advice is ALWAYS welcome!!!

let's stay hungry guys!!!. <<<<Three's pretty appropriate, because I am THREE times at motivated this year than I was last year.

By the way, uh the formatting and stuff is probably all messed up because I wrote this in notepad a few days ago, I didn't have an internet connection for a couple of days, due to changing Internet Service Providers.
