    Default Toll Free Number Service

I would like to get a toll free number that forwards to my cell phone for my online business both to seem more professional and not reveal my personal cell phone number to public customers. While I plan to make it a point to answer the phone when it rings via the toll free number I would still like that fallback.

Does anyone have experiences with any specific companies that they can recommend?

Also, for those that have used such a service or are still using it, what are your thoughts/experiences on it? Have you found it beneficial?

I have used them before and they are fine. They're all pretty much the same.

Here's my challenge to you... why do you need it? In this era, most people have free calling on their cell phones... but using this service creates a tangible cost to you where none may need to exist. Nobody really thinks twice about calling a regular phone # any more.

I don't want an 800#. When ever possible, I want people to communicate electronically, but they absolutely can call us on our regular phone lines.

If you do need an 800# forwarding service, I have used a few and can't really remember which ones but never had any issues. You can easily find what you are looking for... just don't be too quick to add operating expenses to your side of the ledger books.

I've used callcentric.com for years to forward phone numbers to my cell. It has a very nice set of rules you can create for time based things. Once you are ready to get a sip phone in an office, then you just register it with the site and not have to worry about porting numbers anywhere.

Just use Google Voice, it's free & easy to manage.. Plus you can have a local number.
