Question Good free business checking account?

Can anyone recommend a good bank that has business checking accounts that don't charge a service fee, or has very low balance and transaction requirements to waive the fee? I have a few small business entities that I need to have separate accounts for, but I hate getting dinged every month with fees.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

I really love my personal banking with Chase. I used to do some business banking there too with a previous company. Went with Amegy for my current company, a local Houston bank this time around. A great bank as well, but since Chase introduced the private client stuff, I am in awe. I will be switching everything over to Chase eventually.

I believe it is free with a certain amount of money in the account.

After MJ's diatribe about Chase Bank, I'm going to be switching, too. Fuck my credit union. I always thought credit unions were supposed to have better customer service, be more efficient, etc, but NOPE. They are just full of lazy assholes who don't wanna help you. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The biggest thing I like about Chase is the United Airlines credit card. Living in Houston, a United hub, I get a lot of great travel benefits.

I have started using the united card for everything, which means bye bye Amex platinum.

I have personal accounts with Chase and later with week I will be opening my business accounts with them.
I am satisfied with their customer service (especially Sapphire Preferred card), there is a branch on every corner in NYC and I know a few bankers personally.
They even give you money for free. I saw extra $7,000 in my account today. Unfortunately it was a bank's error not a gift and I called them to get it removed from my account

Thanks for the input! Ironically, all my accounts are already with Chase. They've recently increased their requirements to waive the monthly fee, so my newer account I can't for free.

Charles Schwab has an online checking account that is free.(maybe a minimum though too) I used to trade ETFs and used the seemless linking between the checking and investment portal. It was pretty nifty until I realized I didnt know what the hell I was doing and didnt like it enough to teach myself.

They send you overnight envelopes at first and then they let you have the smartphone app deposit capability.

Id go with either Schwab or Chase/JP Morgan.

Seems the common concensus is CHASE.

If you are a veteran, the perks are even better. In addition to business account you get more.

Can you say free-safe-deposit-box boys and girls?

    Thank you. ;-)

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but...does anyone know of what I can do about a bank account being under 18? Besides having my parents make it for me, of course.

I've tried the smaller local banks and it turned out to be really annoying.

Personally, I'm a fan of U.S. Bank. They have a truly free checking that doesn't require minimums and you can deposit checks via your mobile. I know you can do that w/ Chase personal accounts, not sure about Business.

Anyway, when I was checking out banks I was left unimpressed w/ Chase but that could have just been the banker that I talked to.

So far US Bank has been great and I highly recommend them.
