Poor guy. If he knew how to sell, he'd have the social skills and confidence to land himself a job.
Or, you know, start a Fastlane business but who needs that?
Interesting article. Depressing read for those who believe in the slowlane.

Cry baby. He is like the guy my sister is dating. Big impressive degree and every eloquent, but doesn't have the sense for any job beyond pizza delivery.

Maybe not even that? All real jobs require having an idea on how to maintain a job, just different responsibilities, anyone making less than 100 k is equal in social class in my eyes. 100-200 k is cool, but that doesn't make you rich. Above 500 k, then I say that's hot (which is usually not from a job). People think they are superior making 50-100 k, and to me it's just laughable? You're not better than someone making 20 k, you trade time for money, and there's no power in that.
A college these days don't guarantee a job anymore, it's about connections.
I don't understand his problem. My problem isn't about finding a job, it's about making wealth work for me. I don't want to continue slaving away my life to a job, since at the end of the day, life will end... and what I did with my time; work. Which doesn't sound that great...

Articles like this make me glad I think the way I do. I might be frustrated but I also realise that nobody is going to give me that high paying job. I am going to have to make it as I have before. I do feel bad for this kid as many of my friends are also feeling the same way. Unfortunatly not everybody was as rebelious as I was and bought into what everybody sold them... an overpriced degree=good job.
With wages and employement sucking it provides great opportunity for entreps but it also makes it that much harder because there is less pie to get a slice of. When the economy is growing insanely even bad businesses can make a buck but in times like this you really have to ad some serious value.
I am not complaining just stating something that I am sure many on this forum are dealing with. I think alot of the youngsters that have found this place and are completely new to business in general looking for any and all advice have been driven here becuase the original path they were on just didnt work out. I always knew I wanted to own my own business and have been working towards it everyday of my life. I have my success stories and my failures but I have learn alot of things along the way. The kind of things that no school has every taught me.
