Default Yes, it's a flying car...

Land at your local city airport, then drive it home.

No need for a separate hangar. Just a garage:

Yeah its like 300 grand too. For that kind of money you could buy an S class benz just to drive to the airport and fly a plane that was designed to be a fricking plane.

Sure you can get a used cessna for 50-100 easy! You could even get a cessna amphibian for 150 ish and the s63 amg and still come out ahead. And you would be able to add water to the list of crap you can navigate lol.

You can know how to take off and fly in under 10 minutes..

You only get to find out if you know how to land.. Once.

The only problem I see is speed of this plane. I know someone said just go buy a Cessna and a mercedes, the deal with this airplane you can literally fly it to a location, and then drive to your meeting, aunts house, whatever.. no need to rent a car nothing, fly back put it into your garage. Come when you want leave when you want. No TSA...

There are like 14,000 small airports in the U.S. 99% with no where to rent a car. This plane would be perfect for that.

    Just get the speed up..

As a pilot - the biggest limitation is weight (useful load - fuel plus passengers/baggage, can only carry one passenger and limited luggage) and the potential damage that little rocks and other stuff would have on a plane/car going 65mph down the interstate.

As a (future) business person - I would love to start an executive door-to-door air taxi service with this airplane.

Also, imagine being able to alleviate some of the fears of (paying) passengers by promising to land at the nearest small airport and drive the remaining distance if (insert fear - weather, turbulence, etc.) were to occur enroute.

    Kak,

Not sure if you've ever owned a plane or copter.

But the hanger fees are one of the biggest annual and overall expenses.

Sure, you can expense them away if you're using it for biz.

But my point was w/this car, you don't need to-- you can just park in in your garage.

Although, there are already solutions for those who want to have a plane "in their garage" . . .

Airpark Homes, Airport Hangars and Aviation Real Estate Property For Sale

(w/all of the foreclosures these days, you can pick up a bargain-- prolly the cost of the air car, and it will include a small single engine tail dragger).
