sounds like theres an issue with your isp. or your ip address.
any idea why?
I'm not sure what's going on but ever since this past saturday I haven't been able to get to the forum?!? My browser just say "the server quit responding"? I have no issues with any other websites. If anyone has an idea email me - hackersmovie@mac.com this is driving me nutz!
I posted this from my phone while shopping - I tried my phone from home - no joy![]()
So bummed....

I doubt it's related, but... for the past few weeks I've been unable to access the forum through my ISP. I've been using a proxy to access it via a different path. My ISP says they have no trouble reaching it. I've finally narrowed it down to one of my routers -- with that router in the path, I can't reach the forum, but remove that router and it works fine!?
So hackersmovie, try accessing the forum through Free Proxy Server - FreeProxyServer. I doubt it will help but you never know.
Folks I'm aware that there is some type of issue going on and I'm looking into it. I appreciate the troubleshooting feedback, it always helps.
I was also unable to access quite a few times, looked like a typical downtime to me.
Usually after a few minutes everything's back to normal.
Well, I type this from my computer, which a few hours ago (and the last few days) couldn't access the forum.
My Cisco Router, for some reason, started blocking the IP address.
Solution: I had to clone my machine MAC Address to the WAN of the router, then reset my modem... (Also had to set MTU to 1500 - it defaults to 1492)
Not sure why but, it worked! I'M BACK!!
Thanks for the help!!
That was horrible, like a crackhead with no cash - I need my FastLane FIX! LMAO!!![]()
Hackers, can you post your IP address? As soon as you do, I will delete it. I want to examine the logs of people who are having problems.
hackers, you cloned your PC's MAC to the router!? That seems like a bad idea, and I can't imagine why it would have helped...??
MJ, do you want my IP? I'm able to tracert all the way to the viperionmedia site that hosts the forum, but it stops there for some reason. And like I said, it's connected to one of my routers. If I remove that router from the chain, I can reach the viperionmedia site just fine. Weird!!
MJ, did you change something? Today I can access the forum directly, for the first time in 2-3 weeks!
Yes, made some server config changes and I also updated the board software. This fixed most of the problems ... at least, thus far.
Cool, thanks! The proxy I had to use never worked worth a @%@#. Wouldn't have been the board software, though -- I couldn't even ping the hostname.
What really puzzles me is that my inability to reach this site was tied to one specific router. I have three: A connects to the cable modem, and B and C plug into A. (B is my office router, C is the kids' router. That way I'm isolated from their unsafe web habits, and I can automatically shut off their wifi at bedtime.) If I connected my laptop directly to the modem, I could reach the site no problem. But if I plugged it into A or B, I couldn't. Weird!?!?
