Default I think I may have a stalker

I think I may have a stalker...no, not really, but I think someone has gained access to my email account and is reading my gmail, Facebook, etc.

So I know the basic drill...change my user names, passwords, etc.

But here is what am I hoping to discover...is there any way to figure out who is doing this? For example, does Google have the ability to research the times/dates/locations/IP addresses of the log-ins to my account.

If they could target the city where this was occuring, if it is someone I know (and I think it is - they are not doing anything other than reading my personal emails with friends), I could probably figure out who it was.

Anyone know the answer to this question or have any ideas? THANKS!

Ok, this may not be what you are looking for but here it goes:

setup website (could be a brand new domain or a free blog service) then put a stats program on it, could be google analytics or w3counter for example. Donīt tell about the domain to anyone!

Then send yourself an email/pm/whatever to the hacked account with an intriguing title and content so the person clicks.

If you accomplish that you'll have all the info you need

Just and idea though, maybe its complicated but its the only thing I can think of right now

    Good luck!

First off, change the password for the email account(s) that you've used to register with the other sites first. If you change your passwords on other sites first the stalker can reset the passwords again and have the new ones sent to your email account (which he still has access to.)

Secondly, Google, Facebook, etc. most likely do keep track of IP addresses used to log into each account, but it's unlikely that they'll bother to dig up the info for you. vBulletin forums keep track of this, so if you think they've accessed one of your forum accounts and you can convince the administrator to check for you this could work. Some sites show you the IP last used to log in right after you log in.

If all else fails and you're willing to jump through some hoops: create a webpage that no one knows about and set it up to log all IP addresses that access it. Then email yourself from the link from another account with a message that's so enticing that the stalker can't help but click on it. Presto, you should have his IP address.

If you get his IP use http://whatismyipaddress.com/staticp....php/lookup-ip to determine his location and ISP.

EDIT: Jorge beat me to the email idea while I was slowly typing up my post!

You can utilize an email address through your website. Just run an incoming tracking software on your server and you should be able to find a log of the IP by tracing the email addy.

I would get on it though....if I remember right (sn change) you wouldn't want to jeopardize that trading rig, if that's what you're using. I would have to say tracking this and that, it's kind of a waste of time unless it's really a problem. Although I do understand the urge to return the favor! Lol If you peg them, I would suggest a return email (with a disguised pic) that locks the bios. Or you can reset your logins like mentioned above and go make some more money!
