I believe your morning ritual can have a huge impact on the day. So my question is what is your morning routine? Are you consistent with it? What results have you had?

Id love to hear from you super productive/busy guys. Do you wake and jump straight into projects or do you recognise the effectiveness to lay groundwork for the day via morning ritual?

My current routine has been inspired by The Miracle Morning and it goes something like this...

- 6am Wake
I have been trying to get into the habit of getting up as soon as I wake. To do this I have resorted to setting my alarm on my phone, then throwing it over the other side of the room forcing me to get up - it has proven very effective.

- 6.05am Breakfast
100g oats, 40g strawberry protein, a banana and a cup of green tea.

- 6.15am Wash face, brush teeth

- 6.30am Mediation, affirmations, visualisation, journaling and reading.
I have only being doing the above for around 2 months and it has already had a huge impact in my life. You could say before I did this I would have a good (productive) day 6.5/10 times, now I believe it to be a 9.8/10. Sometimes this process can take 5 minutes, sometimes it can take an hour and a half.

My only routine in the morning is waking up when I am ready to wake up. No alarm. Whether that's 4am or 2pm.
I walk/jog 5-6 miles 2-4 hours after I wake up and then I start working. I get 90% of my work done at night.

Great routine, thanks for sharing and cool to see the payoff.

I'm doing the Miracle Morning, which is pretty much the same. I'm officially on day 3 of waking at 5:30, am already getting used to it...

I too follow TMM daily. For the past 50 days I've been following a morning routine which goes like this.
5:30 Wake up
Meditate for 8 minutes
Affirmations & visualizations for 10 minutes
Exercise for 15 minutes (twice a day)
Reading for 30 mins-1hour
Journaling for 5 mins or so
This routine centers me and gets me revved up for my day. What I've discovered is that I am now surrounding myself with Fastlane people, and creating new avenues for my real estate business.

On weekdays I get up at 8.20 for school while on weekends or holidays I usually get up at 2pm. The reason for this is that the majority of my customers live in the US and I live in Ireland so I get my most productive work done in the evenings and late at night.

You're daily routine is responsible for 90% of your results in life.
Slow, daily progress is the cornerstone of all change.

After much testing, this works for me the best:

6am rise, 6 15 in the gym lifting some iron.
7 at home breakfast.
7 30 goals for the day.
8am -10am get to work on most important task of the day
break
10 30-1pm more work onmost imp task of the day
lunch
2pm-4pm 2nd most imp
break
4 30-6pm 2nd most imp task
6pm -8pm - optional work time if I'm still really inspired
8pm-11pm free time.

5 am- Wake up. I kept my alarm at the other side of my room to make sure I had to get up to turn it off, but now I can get up no problem. Even if I stay out late the night before, I get up at 5--I prefer taking a nap if need be than sleeping in.

5:00-5:15am- Shower, get dressed, shave with a straight razor (I enjoy this).

5:15-5:30am- Make myself eggs and bacon and take kratom as I check the forum.

5:30-6:45am- Work on my business.

6:50am- Leave for school.

7:15am-2:15pm- Find any possible gaps during class to work on my business.

2:30-3:30pm- Workout. Get pumped.

3:45-8:00pm- Work on business/read

8:00pm- Whatever I feel like; more than likely, I fall asleep from getting up at 5am.

How do you take Kratom? Some people inhale it, some make the tea, which, from the videos i've seen, is a pretty messy/time consuming process

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Wake up 6 am everyday. Check email, put in FBA orders if I got sales on ebay. Respond to suppliers. This all takes roughly 5-10 minutes. Then I take a shower. Clothes on. Head out to university. When I get home I study. Then work on business. Gym before I go to bed.

I skip breakfast everyday, not really a morning eater.

I just toss n' wash. It isn't as bad as you might think and it gets the job done in three seconds as opposed to an hour for the tea.

My morning routine is simple. And it actually starts at night.

Step 1: Somewhere around 1030pm or 11pm (if I am not working late) I evaluate my day, go over where I excelled and where I fell short.
Step 2: Create a to do list for the next day (I create this while considering the goals I have set for the week), and then I go to bed.
Step 3: Wake up at 5am and take a cold shower.
Step 4: Get to work! (I don't eat until lunch.)

With this routine in place, I appreciate Sunday a lot more.

I actually recently started a new routine. I am in college right now so my wake up time usually depends on class time. I have read a few articles on entrepreneur.com about good routines and taken things from each.
Wake up.
Brush my teeth (to get rid of bacteria that has built up overnight).
Drink a big glass of water.
Eat breakfast (sausage egg and cheese on English muffin with a cup of coffee).
Workout with the 7 minute workout app (I actually go to the gym later but this is good for getting my blood flowing and waking me up).
Shower.
Get dressed and go to class.

When I was single I had a routine, kind of went to the wayside now that I'm married with a child. My current routine is 5:30-6am wake using the alarm in my head. Drink a few cups of coffee, watch news, check emails, and misc messages, 7am I'm in the shower, 7:15 I'm out, I grab my son, we brush our teeth, he "helps" me get ready, 7:45 I make us breakfast and watch a cartoon, 8:15 mom is up and I'm off to move some metal.

Wake up. Check to see if I have slept enough. If not, I try to catch some more sleep. I believe in minimum of 7 hours sleep per day.

Gratitude exercise. Think of at least 10 things/people/companies, etc I am grateful for.

Review goal list. I read each of them (around 25) and make a mental note for small reviews.

Affirmations. Around 25 centered around money, because money covers around 1/2 of my goals.

Plunk multivitamin pill in glass of water and drink it.

Check email and a small number of websites that are supportive of reaching my goals.

Check stock prices of my stocks and adjust my net worth in a spreadsheet.

Check my to do list and add one or more things.

Get breakfast in local brasserie.

Stroll around the park for exercise and sniff up nature.

Start working on to do list.

I was JUST thinking about this, and then found this thread.

Personally a huge believer of a good morning routine, whatever time ones morning may be.

For me it's:

  • wlarm goes at 6:30 (unless I have had a "AHA!" moment in the middle of the night and stayed up, then a bit later"
  • write down dreams, then straight off to grattitude journal.
  • big glass of water or tea
  • good breakfast
  • meditation, and visualization (while my breakfast makes its way to my body)
  • workout (usually intense one in the morning 1,5 hour/2 hours)
  • shower
  • set intentions for the rest of the day. Devide day by what things need to be done, and dont feel like it. Do those asap. Then the rest
  • Go out into wide world

For me it works to have a evening routine too (journalling, reading, listening to other languages. As long as there is no movie or computer involved)
