Making money with a porn blog

Hi fastlaners,

Now I know this sounds a bit sketchy, but if it can makes money, why not? I am thinking about doing a niche porn blog. Since I lost so much time looking at porn, why not use this to make money? Something like posting a streaming video or two every day with a description and categories. And then making money from ads.

I have three questions:

What are the rules concerning posting videos, like extract from brazzers video, on your website?

How do I get more uploading space, and how much does it cost?

What are the potential ?

I will keep you updated once I start the blog. Thank you

I've read the book. I don't see anything unethical about this. If you think it is, please express me your opinion.
"Chasing Money" around here is kind of a sin to a lot of folks. Your OP clearly shows your mindset is one of chasing money rather than one focused on creating value. Because of this, you most likely won't get the responses you are looking for.

I think that nearly all of your questions are probably better directed at Google. There's not likely a bunch of porn experts here. There's a lot of money to be made online in porn, but this really isn't the forum to have a detailed discussion about the finer points of that business.

Gives a whole new dimension to the "do what you love" argument. Moral objections aside, you can probably find a more suitable place to get industry advice.

Well, that is your opinion. But i think that if porn is so popular, it does have some kind of value for a lot of people. You like it or not, porn creates job, is a stress reliever for a lot of people and a lot of couples enjoy watching it. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. If you like music, you can make a music blog and make money out of it. If you like porn (and I am not some kind of perv or addicted to it, I just admit unlike some people that I watch it) then why not make a blog about it?

I dont think you need to be a porn expert. It's the same thing as doing a niche website about any subject.

You missed the point.

I'm not saying whether or not porn adds value to peoples lives. I'm saying that YOUR focus is based around chasing money rather than providing value, which is clearly demonstrated by this:
Now I know this sounds a bit sketchy, but if it can makes money, why not?

...And because of that, you are receiving replies like this:

Just trying to give you a tip to help you enjoy your stay here more. I couldn't care less whether or not you make a porn blog. Good luck!

You asked three questions, and all three are specific to the porn industry. The answer to these three questions would not be the same if you were not talking about the porn industry, because other industries have a different set of rules.

This forum is not going to be a rich resource for you on what rules are concerning posting porn videos to your host site (check with your hosting company), uploading space specifically regarding porn restrictions (check with your hosting company) and potential for porn (check with industry statistics and experts.)

We're not going to foster a fast lane discussion about building a porn empire. You might be interested in that, but collectively and administratively we're not.

You can be successful doing it. We're not going to debate the morality of it, but you're not going to find a bunch of resources here. Porn kings don't hang out here (for the most part.) You can find places out there on the internet where people who are interested in what you are interested in hang out. That place, as it pertains to internet porn, is not here.

I researched "brazzers affiliate" on Google and turns out they have an affiliate program. If they do, I would expect other big porn firms to have them too.

I guess you could target specific niches and profit with affiliate links to their content.

What does that is supposed to mean?
There is plenty of money to be made in the porn business. My reply has nothing to do with that.

When you said "if it can make money, then why not?" - it shows that the issue might be with the morality in the future.

I've seen health supplement companies/dating sites, etc. Advertise a FREE bottle with $3.95 shipping and handling.... In the fine print, they say you will be billed $80 a month if you dont cancel...and the customer service to cancel is really hard to find.

A lot of people see this, but they dont see the finer print where it also signs you up to other services totaling $129 a month.

They promise one thing and users get screwed....

But hey, it made money...so why not?

I'm not saying you will do this and I don't think you will. Just understand the fine line between morality towards your employees and customers....and doing anything it takes to make a dollar.

Maybe i did not chose the right words. But I think you are comparing two things that have nothing in common. Providing free porn content in a blog and screwing people. Don't worry, I completely understand that fine line, and I think this is very far from it. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to express your opinion.

Technically speaking, those two things go hand in hand.

I like the way you think.

As far as this thread goes, you might want to try again and just read the countless threads on affiliate marketing. That's essentially what you'll be doing.

How does a porn blog help anyone?

What pornhub did really helps the casual masturbator AND the porn companies. They provide high quality, categoried videos for the user, and the companies pay them to advertise and for their videos to be featured.

A porn blog doesn't, as far as I can tell. What are you bringing to the table aside from free porn videos?

Making money with a porn blog

You can make money doing anything. I knew a kid who made money selling drugs to people in prison. He's in jail now. He went from being a guard to being guarded.. Why he did it? I have no idea, probably for the easy money. I have an uncle who made millions selling cars. Why did he do it? Because he wanted to be his own boss and control his own destiny, and somewhere along the way he came to love cars, probably because of the money.

So here's the question. Why do you want to start a porn blog?

The world doesn't need another porn blog or porn site.

I know nothing about the industry, but I'm sure that it's extremely competitive.

Do you want to start a porn site because it's easy money? The big sites will crush you and you will come to hate it because the money won't be so easy...Unless you know how (and can afford) to drive traffic.

Do you want to start a porn site because you like porn? Well, like I said, you will probably come to hate it after you see how hard it is to make money.

I have three questions:

What are the rules concerning posting videos, like extract from brazzers video, on your website?

How do I get more uploading space, and how much does it cost?

What are the potential ?

If you expect people to answer three questions that are critical to your business then you will never be successful. It appears as though you are looking for easy money.

What does a niche website reviewing independant movies bring to the table? its the same thing. You provide content for people that has a certain fetish.

Want to make money in the porn industry?

Optics technology. I see them using real life models connected to this technology. Porn could be one application for this.

Think outside the box. They are connecting models of real people with virtual reality headsets. I'm sure something like this would increase the porn experience.

It might be a few years before something like this gets mainstream, but it is a way to be outside the box from everybody else.

Think bigger, think outside the box. Provide value. Money is just a result of value.
