And perhaps a pivot? LOL.

His original startup was health related.

And then this thing took off.

I just text them a question. They immediately text back with an automated text. Currently waiting for answer.

Woah, pretty cool market validation. Talk about a bare bones site.

Surprised there wasn't anything like that before... or maybe there was and this one just took off and went viral.

Kudos to them for being quick on doing phone calls and all that, but I see it as a huge liability.
Their "business model" also seems unclear to me.
If they could build an automatic delivery system, that would be something else.
Right now they're a few humans competing with the speed of phone messages.
Sounds great in the news but most probably they built a job-prison for themselves.

Is it illegal to ask them send $500? :p

A big win would be in machine learning and automation. Or like Cha-Cha did it where you hire contractors to answer texts for 5c a piece. But I bet there's a lot of errors, people getting the wrong thing, bad customer service, etc...

Haha this is going to be another issue, I reckon at least half of their texts will be completely ridiculous requests.

Great demonstration of quick, cheap market validation though, I hope it works out for him!

@MJ DeMarco and other fastlaners- this could be a great app idea.
Create a mobile app of what Magic does and have messaging/payment integrated. Make it seamless.

Open app, make request, get what you want.

I'm assuming Postmates will come out with a mobile app eventually. At that point, the competition going through Postmates will be dead.
