A month ago I was looking to purchase something online from a website I was skeptical about and wasnt sure to go through with it or not. They did not accept paypal ( the only website I feel comfortable using for online payments ) and I obviously didnt feel safe inputing my debit/credit card into the website because of possible scams/fraud etc... This had me stumble upon the idea of a website that allows you to purchase a somehow generated one time use credit card number to use on sites like these. Is that even possible? Ive done research and cant find anything

Good idea or bad?

There are services like that. But for the most part, credit card fraud isn't something you need to worry about since credit card companies will reverse fraudulant charges.

So its something thats a system that generates a new credit card number each time?
Kinda like a payment via proxy.

I like it!

Though, you would have to have strict PCI and a strong system.

I'm guessing you would take a fee for each use?
