Some people would love a different font to be used for their WordPress site or print publication because it will fall in line more with its branding. (Let’s say you want a gothic-looking font for your page because you are selling some Halloween themed items). BUT, you saw the font you like and don’t know how to find it, or you have an idea but want to look over some FREE fonts before you make a choice. Here are a few recommendations.

First, ensure that you know how to properly install special/custom fonts. This page is a great resource.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/

There is a font on a publication or website you like, but aren’t a designer and don’t know the name. Capture a jpeg of it and find out by going to:
https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

So, that way you can find the exact font, or some other fonts like it.

Just want to check out some different fonts in a category that matches your branding? Try:
http://www.dafont.com/
There are many free and for-pay fonts from users. Plus, once you pick a category type in whatever sentence or title you want in ‘preview’ and it’ll give you a look at whatever you want to see IN THAT FONT! Very nice.

Happy font hunting!

Just thought I would share a bit of knowledge that I've picked up along the way. Not selling anything, nor do I have any financial incentive to send traffic to those websites.

I've seen a lot of articles on here that are giving help in generalities and being a motivational cheerleader. I was hoping to provide some concrete information that some might find helpful. Just trying to provide a little value. Enjoy.
