very good ! we should build a story arround that. that's our marketing. we have to give people an experience.

the reason why they would go to your auberge is because of the unique experience you provide them , the exciting visit.

for example , i slept in a bed and breakfast int the alps in 2010 where the owner was an herbalist.

this was a wonderful and unique experience for me. the host showed me his herb business, etc .

that's very nice, must smell nice there in the summer.

yes , french alps cuisine smells good too. french landscape vary quickly . within 20 miles , views from chartreuse mountains are very different than views from bauges mountains or massif du mont blanc mountains, 30 miles away.

moreover, there are mountains shows in the summer.

to conclude, i think french alps are a good place for a bed and breakfast.

I'm from a rather small village a little to the west of Darmstadt, Germany. We haven't got the most exciting stuff going on here, but there is some nature left, which I find incredibly relaxing

Yeah I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, home to Bel Air'

~127 people, 33 States, 15 Countries. I'm impressed.

edit:Lets spice this thread up a bit. How about some interesting facts about your area. What its known for, historical significance, home of the 5 legged cow...whatever works. I love factoids and I want to hear about everyone's area. Pictures of the area if you have them.

Hi,
I'm at Kangaroo Creek, NSW Australia
Interesting fact - We live on 72 acres on the Orara River - one of the only westward flowing rivers East of the Great Divide
I have the most awesome backyard. This is it!

Born, and raised for 18 years, in Peterborough, Ontario, CA.

Currently living in the small town of Invermere, British Columbia, CA.

I've only been in Invermere for half of a year, but the immense size of the mountains has really put perspective into my life.
Although I have not fallen in love with the town, I've had a lot of time to think about where my life is heading, and I appreciate the solitude and peace that can be found here.
