Any bike commuters here?

Just curious if anyone here bikes (bicycle) to work/office/recreationaly? I know most American cities are too spread out, so I guess I'm asking the Europeans out there.

I refuse to pay $450/month for parking (the current cost in my building), so I bike everywhere.

It's quite the rush, it's fun, and it's healthy!

I've logged 2,250km in the past 4 months or so. Not a huge amount, but respectable.

Yep, I love riding my bike. I don't commute though (as I work from home). It's a great way to recharge after a morning's work.

I now work from home or fly to my job, so no daily commute any longer. When I was working in downtown I rode EVERY day for two years straight! That includes all the rain days, and all the snow days. I had someone once call me a "fxxxing idiot!" out his window when I was riding in the winter. Not sure why, I had no traffic, was perfectly warm through the exertion, and had lights on my bike and helmet.
