For the last several days, my browser (FireFox) has been acting up while visiting here. It freezes with a "not responding" error. Every couple of minutes and just for a second or two.

1. Is this happening to anyone else?
2. Have there been any recent changes?

Yes, this is happening to me when using firefox! I'm usually on other websites too so I wasn't exactly sure if it was this forum.

Yep, happening on chrome on my laptop and desktop. Seems to be only on the main page and not the individual thread pages.

I PM'd @AllenCrawley last week as that was when it started for me. Possibly something to do with a script on the front page as my CPU usage goes sky high when it freezes.

Happens to me in Chrome as well, pressing F11 twice usually solves it for me

happening on my cellphone AND laptop and for some reason I had files of things from the forum in my trash on my laptop. Things like MJ quotes and such. I guarantee I wouldn't have done that but I can't guarantee it's related to this particular issue. Vedddy veddy odd tho.........

Same. I think it might be the preview popup for each thread. I noticed mine froze after I previewed a few threads.

It's been happening with my Firefox browser also, but for several weeks. I thought it was my computer but it's only happening here on the forum.

I get a warning notice every 5 minutes that says "UNRESPONSIVE SCRIPT, A script on this page may be busy, or has stopped responding" script: http://cdn.viglink.com/api/vglnk.jS:28 (the last # changes each time it seems)

It then gives me options to debug, stop script, or continue. No matter what I push it just keeps happening.

I tried to post an image of what I am getting but for some reason the system is not letting me.

I'm using Firefox, and it only happens on the home page. I get this error:

I'm using Windows 7 Professional X64.

Yea, I think there is a script on the homepage that is hogging resources or timing out trying to make an external request. My CPU usage skyrockets when the page freezes.

I deactivated the VigLink component, lets see if that has any effect.

Already notice a difference in speed. Also, normally 10-20 seconds on the home page and it would freeze and require a refresh but seems to be good now.

Looks like that took away the thread previews as well.

Problem disappeared for me (Chrome). :hurray:
Looks like the main issue was the viglink js, I saw an error for that in my JS console too 1 or 2 days ago.

This thread gave me relief, I thought it was just my laptop cracking again.

So far the problem is gone (Firefox).

I always wondered if Viglink has something to do with @Vigilante 's passive income addiction?
You know, because of the name.

I wish.

I noticed my phone was running absolutely dog slow browsing the forum, both on my home wifi and 4G LTE out on the road. Very atypical.
