After reading T.L.M., i had a Ah HA moment. from a Business start up point of view, one of my Favorite things to do is help friends grow their business, then it hit me I can make money with this, and im sitting on the largest FB group for this..time to monitize!!!! Now the group has NO MLM's (i hate those) but it's chalk full of budding Service companies just winging it, I have a meeting next week with the other side of spectrum( the part I require) . Question is, has anyone had any luck doing this? Possible pitfalls i dont presently see?

I'm questioning how you will generate revenue. You have the "Need" aspect met and you are certainly giving before asking, but how will you charge people? you are acting as a consultant as well, so this will be time dependent on your end. I think the tightrope would be to become indispensable to them with the startup and then require a return for the life of the company. That's almost Shark Tank levels of investment.

Sounds similar to what Dane Maxwell does with The Foundation. Here's a thread featuring him from a couple of years ago:

Not sure if that's the model you're aiming for or the royalty strategy that Chris mentioned.
