Well, yes and no. I'm currently working two full time jobs. But thats temporary and the entire paycheck of the second job is going into a seed fund. By the time im finished with the second job (contract) in April, I will have close to $40k which will allow me to fund something, but im not sure what it will be at the moment.

Hey Biggeemac, sounds like your working a shitload but man you gotta take some action! Rather than saving up 40k before you start something, start something now. Figure out what you are going to do today and take your first step keep taking action untill you can then tell you boss to shove it...

One day is the day that never comes, the only chance you have to do something is today!!

Your own business abilities and work ethic are far more important than starting capital.
yep. easy to piss away 40k when you are "not sure what it will be".

Rhode Island for now.
I've seen this a lot, so Biggeemac, not trying to be offensive.

Once you save that money, are you really going to use it for a business? Or, what if the house needs a new kitchen, roof, you get tempted by a new car.
Are you sure that $40k is locked down for your own use to start something?
And, if so, I assume you are 100% at peace losing it all if that happens?

I agree with others, there is never a 'good time to start'. Conditions are never perfect.
You should get started today, whatever it is, and the money will come as you get more excited and prove your process.
