Convert to Audio Book

Any recommendations for converting a book to audio format?

What exactly are you wanting to do? Do you want to be recorded reading it yourself, have a male or female voice read it for you, use a service like Acx, or hire a voice over actor like me? I enjoy doing my own audio books, but I also have the setup for doing it, and have been a recording engineer for many years. I could help you with purchasing the correct setup, but if your haven't read and edited your own before, you'll want quite a bit of practice before a final product.

If you're looking to sell it on Amazon and ITunes, the easiest way might be to go through ACX. It's really easy, but there's a downside in that Amazon retains a lot (too much) control. They determining pricing, for example, which is a real bummer. That being said, I've used ACX for three books, and would go that route again in spite of the downsides.
