UK Meetup

I've been to two meetings so far and there were five or six of us each time. We usually meet up around midday and talk about business/ideas/anything people feel like talking about.

I can't do the 18th or any other Sat, usually can but not this month. If I miss it, have a good time and hopefully I'll see everyone next month. I can do sun 26th as well if the Sunday thing isn't difficult for people. Let's see what most people want to do?

Can everyone vote for a date so we can plan it, please? I'd like to book train tickets in advance.

I can do Saturday or Sunday 18th/19th or 25th/26th. I don't mind which day but if I have to choose then Saturday 25th.

Why don't we do all something like this:

Sat 18th: Yes/No
Sun 19th: Yes/No
Sat 25th: Yes/No
Sun 26th: Yes/No

If Yes, add likelihood of attendance or any useful notes as well. Saves cluttering up this thread. Then the meeting organiser can then collate the responses and organise accordingly. So here's mine:

Sat 18th: No
Sun 19th: Yes (from Noon onwards)
Sat 25th: No
Sun 26th: Yes

I can't speak for everyone, so maybe someone who's been to previous meetups has a better idea.

I would suggest meeting somewhere between Liverpool Street and London Bridge, since it's quite central and well connected.

It was 1pm before but doesn't have to be this time. I finish work at 5am the night before so I will definitely be there but possibly later than the rest of you, depending on when we agree. I could get there for 2 or 3.

It's next to Liverpool Street station, so it should be easy for everyone to find and, as far as I can remember, it should be spacious enough.

What does everyone think of meeting there around 2pm?

Great seeing you too. Unless someone volunteers to do so, do you fancy arranging the November London meet-up? I've arranged the first 3 London meet-ups so thought it'd be good to let someone else do a couple too.

Sounds good. Normally I make a reminder 2 weeks or so beforehand to poll people for a suitable date and time. If there is no clear preference, I just pick a date and time and make it happen anyway. In my experience, it's better to take the lead, make a decision and see what happens, rather than try to please everyone.
