I would love to attend this @Red @MJ DeMarco but didn't think I could as I am over there in Dec/Jan but I really want to come. Life is too short so I am coming if I get a place! You inspired me @Goobii - the aussies are coming to Arizona ;-)

I am happy to do a presentation on Franchising or anything you want to throw at me!

I'm definitely interested in going this year, especially if ChickenHawk and MJ are presenting in particular. I would like to submit a presentation outline. I almost posted this about five months ago when I proposed the idea that became Allen's excellent "Case Studies For Dominating Social Media" thread before I decided not to. At an intimate gathering like B&P, I'd be up for sharing if there's interest. If not, I'll attend and learn from others.

Tentative Title: What if You're Broke?-Viral Marketing Without Paid Traffic

1. Setup

Value of Traffic Aggregators
How to Locate Concentrated Traffic In Your Niche (Potential Customers)
How to blend in with the sheep when you're really a wolf
How to quadruple your follow/follow-back rate on most social media platforms with one simple change
One $300 purchase that means more to the success of your marketing than thousands of dollars in ad-spend

2. Execution

When to launch
How to become the most discussed post on a forum for days on end and never get banned for spamming (let's first agree we won't use this on TMF , mmmKay?)
How to reliably explode a Reddit post and make the front page
Why you should ditch your expensive cell carrier for the same phone service the homeless guy outside uses
How to create a highly visible ad that will be seen by hundreds or thousand of people a year, forever, without being renewed, and never pay a dime.
Which social media platforms will grow your business, and which will waste your time?

3. Payday

How to convert a huge segment of your followers or friends into a mailing list for pennies
How to sell using social media without making your followers feel like they're subscribed to an ad

I could also do a pretty comprehensive presentation on bootstrapping mid/high-five figure annual sums by reselling cars, but I thought that might be too specific to be valuable to many people.

Pre-sales will be opened after the speakers/itinerary has been set so that you'll know exactly what you're signing up for. Keep an eye on this thread for the full details.

Ha ha, sorry about that! We just want to make sure this is done right & part of that is making sure that our budgets/margins allow for us to deliver what we promise.

Right now we can tell you that the dates are the last weekend in February, so:

Feb 27th, 28th, 2015 (& possibly March 1st as a half day)

I'll be contacting the selected speakers this coming week & we'll get those details ironed out. After that, we'll be announcing "pre-sales" (if you want to call it that) which should be toward the latter part of this month (October). We'll keep you posted!

Would love to attend, see a lot of value in what's being presented! You guys wouldn't mind taking a few people at the early stages of the entrepreneurial process? 19 and in college, would love to show up and bring my younger brother with me too! However, don't know if the resort allows 19 and 17 year old in casino area...

Oh, don't you worry your pretty little head. We still haven't opened ticket sales yet, you haven't missed anything.

You guys are more than welcome to attend, you can even hang out in the casino area as far as I know (which is different from the convention meeting area), you simply can't gamble. The casino itself has restaurants & such that are open to the general public. Either way, the resort meeting space where we're actually having the event is in a different area than the casino so there won't be any problems there.

I've read through most of this thread; this meet up is going to be value-packed to the nth degree, I really would love to come.
Being a student, though, I know I will have classes during this event. Besides that, I won't be into my summer hustling by then, so I don't see an answer to the financial side of it either.

So, forgive me if this has been proposed & denied before, tried w/o success, or even goes against the philosophy of this meet up, but:
-Would there a possibility of creating and selling post-access to the event, via PAID access to the submitted presenter's materials or (preferably) an audio recording?
-I don't at all want to lessen the exclusivess of the event, and I think videoing presentations would be too much to ask for, unless that's already something in place (that I missed).
-Audio recording is fairly simple in my experience, especially if it's just the speaker's mic hooked to a recorder. Not sure if the presentations are typically mic'd or not, which would require even less effort.

I'm not sure what the organizers for this coming meetup will decide but I will say that some (if not most) presenters may not want their presentations broadcasted or recorded because of the sensitive content in their presentations. In meetups past we've recorded presentations but presenters had the option to not be recorded. Any recordings were only made available to those that attended live.

Didn't see that, thank you.

Shoot. I did miss it. Sorry about that.
Is the confidentiality of what is spoken typically carried over to the presentation materials as well?
I see recordings of those who choose to be recorded previously have gone to attendees, not sure about slides though..?
I'm not sure if the slides are just a brief outline of the presentation, or very detailed, but either way, I see significant value in that.

While I can appreciate your desire to learn, the way I see it is that this information is not mine to sell. One of the things that makes this meetup great is the fact that it's like-minded (but still varied) individuals coming together for the sharing of information & support of camaraderie. Some of the folks that submitted to present this year DO sell their information on different platforms. Many have already put their hard-learned lessons in threads on this forum. If there's really a niche you're interested in, I would start with a topic search on here, today (top, right hand corner of this page).

One of the things that makes this place work is the unabashed desire to, not only better oneself but, also help out others coming up along the way. I think there's way more information on this forum than you know.

Man this is going to be better than 4 years of collage without mention the connections. Unless you have any exam you do really have to do, skip class.

For the economic issue you still have some time to get the money. I am sure if you really want to go you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse ;)

Almost all of the people I have offline contact with from the forum... scratch that... 100% of the people from here that I have real world contact with outside of the forum... I met face to face at either this annual gathering or at a local meet up of people from the forum.

With only a few creeper exceptions (that I know of) the face to face meet ups are the key to expanding your rolodex. By attending, and especially by presenting, you demonstrate that you're serious and that you likely can add value either now or in the future.

If they open this up to 100 attendees (which from what I heard may happen) you would be well served to grab a ticket, and then actually attend the event.
