3 Priorities
- Learn to Build Web Apps | Develop my own site
- Earn BA in Marketing | Its government paid
- Learn Chinese via Rosetta Stone | Don't have a solid reason other than it's cool to me =D

I'm placing my bets on web development as a means to killing two birds with one stone: Earning cash faster than working an entry level position in some corporation AND having the skills to build my own website/web apps.

Although looking on the internet to check for programming jobs looks like it's going to be harder than I thought competing with all the peeps from India.

Maybe I can get a job with a lot of down time in front of a computer so I can work my web business while getting paid. That way I can make money consistently. Freelancing programming jobs in the beginning would include many hours without work as I look for more work.

This is similar to what MJ says he did in his book by driving limos and reading and learning on down time. After that he did webdesign full time before finally building a successful website. This looks like the type of path I'm going to have to follow to get where I want to go.

I'm following the same path bro. I'm a super novice at building websites. But I'm going to read everyday until I'm a pro. The internet is the easiest way to build a fortune!

yep I agree. So far I've started with an idea and just have been learning whatever I need to learn along the way. I've tried to amass knowledge before getting into something although I realized after 2 years that that is a waste of time. It's better to learn as you go than amass knowledge as far as technical skills or engineering skills is concerned.

Like Steve Jobs, by the time I have something successful built I won't have to build anything myself anymore where instead I can pay someone else to build things for me.

I'm the exact way man. I'm earning my degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship. I think that it will be something that I can use in my future business.

Right now, I am working on learning SEO and web design (along with reading a ton of books), but I'm taking action right away by setting up niche blogs w/ affiliate products to learn how to drive traffic. From what I have seen, driving traffic is absolutely everything. Once you can learn how to drive traffic, basic web pages are easy to design (especially with an HTML editor, PM for a free one that I use).

Also, if you want to make some quick money you should cold call businesses around you and offer them a lead generation site for $800-1,000. Yellow Pages still costs 2K for the year and no one uses it anymore. I'm doing this, along with working on a Ebay business.

In the future, after some trial and error I plan on launching my actual site idea with a vengeance, and I will know how to do everything thanks to not waiting. Best of luck man!
